The crowning glory of my eldest daughters wedding day (September 2004), were the magnificent bouquets that Richard Go designed and created. They were admired and complimented all day.

Never before have I seen such amazing workmanship and attention to detail. Layer and layer of flowers, vine and foliage, Richard managed to incorporate every botanical feature of the wedding, white casablanca lilies, red cordyline leaves, xanadu leaves, dodder vine, black bamboo, succulents and the magnificent tiger orchid.

In addition a treat was installed for the bride, only she would fully appreciate the golden hand woven heart suspended in an inner layer of the bouquet that moved as she walked. Across the top was a draped chain of hearts. Stunning. It was such an honour to have Richard agree to do Amelia 's bouquets.

I have admired his work for over a decade and privileged enough to study advanced design under his tuition at Richmond Tafe in 2003. His ingenuity, spontaneity and originality of design never cease to amaze me. On delivery of flowers to be freeze dried after the wedding came the comment that I 100% agree with this is the work of a master florist indeed There isn't a week go by where I still don't remember and appreciate those beautiful bouquets.

Richard is a very caring and thoughtful person. Despite being ill the week of the wedding, he still, as a surprise made me, the mother of the bride a most gorgeous shoulder corsage- the armature being made from thick and thin copper wire woven intricately and topped with hand rolled and folded rose petal roses, tiger orchid sections, pearls, greenery and a chain of hearts; magnets held the corsage perfectly in place. His design and method of making corsages and boutonnière is surprising and stunning.

To this day, Richard Go still holds a special place in our Wedding memories and we can not acknowledge him enough for all he did and the good friend he became.  

Richard and his friendly team helped in the organisation of our day from special effects lighting to games on the table for the children: and most importantly, the beautiful bouquets for the bridal party and exquisite table displays with cascading flowers flowing from the lighting on the marquee ceiling.  So unique is Richards design, he created bamboo sculptures at the entrance of our marquee and behind our bridal table.  We were so impressed with Richards creativeness and attention to our day that we did not choose any flowers ourselves, we let Richard run with the whole theme. 

Richard made us feel so comfortable with everything he organised, he and his staff maintained their professionalism even during the most stressful of moments.  Richard co-ordinated the whole day and it would not have run smoothly without him.  Richard had to liaise with about 50 different people and still managed to create the most perfect, beautiful hassle free Wedding. 

When we look back on our Wedding day, we remember not only of the fun and love we shared with each other but the people who were there to make it our once in a lifetime fairytale, and Richard Go is one of those at the top of our list.

Just a brief note to say thank you for all your efforts with our recent Advance Design Workshop held in August 04 it was just a successful as your last workshop in February 2003. We had so many positive comments from the Students and Staff  and they were amazed at your depth of knowledge and the way in which you constructed your designs. They are all lining up for your next Workshop.

For my wedding I wanted a classic romantic feel with lots of roses and old word glamour. Richard made my dream a reality. He completely understood the vision I had for our wedding.

I really wanted David Austin roses and although they were extremely hard to get, Richard still managed to get them for me. Everything was possible with Richard. The table center pieces were breathtakingly beautiful, having two levels of roses wrapped around each candelabra.

Richard made our wedding look like a fairytale. There were roses everywhere, even in places I hadn't thought of - wrapped around the columns outside the church, up the stairwell into the reception, around the balcony and even on the front of the golf buggies we used while having photos! It was so beautiful and such a lovely surprise on our special day.

Richard really made our day so much more special with his amazing attention to detail. Our wedding wouldn't have been what it was without him.

Richard is a brilliant florist and an amazing person.

I heard about an excellent florist who is based in Australia and I requested my supplier –Smithers Oasis Australia to look for him and invite him to hold a demonstration in Manila, Philippines.

We first met Richard around year 2000. It turned out all the good things I’ve been hearing about him were true! He’s energetic, meticulous, creative and a great communicator – whether it be English, Tagalog and Chinese. All the workshopers claimed that they understood him perfectly and that they enjoyed his lectures. He’s totally unselfish about sharing his experience, ideas and knowledge.

Whenever our company, Jasam Floral Sundries, have any lectures or workshops, he became the most requested resource person! This was the reason we have invited him to come to the Philippines twice, much to the joy of our clients and numerous hobbyists! And we’re very happy because these events were always full packed!

And as if to validate our belief in him, he was assigned by Smithers Oasis as Preferred Designer! Something I believe he truly deserves.
