The company has been in existence since 1994 in Sydney and is an offshoot from its parent company from the Philippines; Mums and Roses - known for its unique, unusual and dramatic room transformations for home parties, weddings, society functions and events.

Designer Profile
Richard Go BSc AIFD FDA dip.NZPF B.Ed
Richard is an award winning international designer, floral consultant, wedding and functions coordinator as well as a Botanical Architect by profession. He spent most of his time-sharing his floristry knowledge and skills not only in Australia but also globally. He has held numerous demonstrations and workshops in most states of Australia, The Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, USA, Japan, UK, Germany, Indonesia, Brazil, Fiji, India, Thailand and New Zealand. Riyadh and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and The Philippines are on his calendar later this year.
Richard consults for Smithers Oasis Malaysia and the USA and the Australian Trade Commission in Japan. He holds a degree in Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Bachelor of Education as well as a diploma in Floristry from New Zealand Professional Florists. He has been appointed by Smithers Oasis Australia Ltd. as their South West Asian Ambassador in December 2008.
Richard has presented educational programs at the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) National Symposiums- “Tales from far and beyond” in Dallas Texas and “Equilibrium - a program of equal proportions” in Seattle Washington and “Corroboree- Beyond the dreaming!” in Chicago, Illinois. and at the Hong Kong International Garden Show. The latest one was at ENFLOR flower show- the biggest flower show in South America held in Holambra, Brazil, all received multiple standing ovations.
As a Floral ambassador, Richard has been invited to represent Australia at the Tokyo International Flower and Garden Show in Tachikawa Japan in 2010, Singapore International Garden Festival in December 2006 as well as receiving a Silver award for his outstanding display “A Sanctuary from Down under”
Richard is a seasoned award winner at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show: latest was being the only designer to win back to back bronze medals for his exhibits this year, more medals were awarded to him between 2005-2010.
He has conceptualised and designed the Australian Trade Commission promotion booth at the International Flower expo in Makuhari, Japan in 2006- 2008. He was also invited to present 3 themed floral shows in 2007 and received rave reviews. He is bound for Japan once again this coming October for the fourth time.
Richard was also commissioned to work with a team of floral designers at the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, Pasadena CA. USA to decorate the Las Vegas centenary Float and the FTD parade float in 2005.
Richard’s forte is on structural designing, it’s the flower design than comes from architectural pieces, and he also excels in interpretative designs- designs that convey messages from the heart. He loves using containers and things from the hardware and recycled materials, anything that also is good for the environment.
His clients let him create unusual designs for their functions. They trust his judgement of what will look excellent, something eye-catching and unique for their parties and exhibitions.
